EnRiMa at the “European projects on energy efficiency in buildings” symposium in Oviedo, Spain

On 25 February 2013, several partners of the EnRiMa consortium participated in the “European projects on energy efficiency in buildings” symposium, which took place at the Auditorium Príncipe Felipe in Oviedo, Spain. The event was organised by FAEN (the Asturian Energy Foundation), with the support of EnRiMa partners HC ENERGÍA and Minerva Consulting and Communication.

Luis Manuel Santos Moro, representing HC ENERGÍA, delivered a brief overview of the EnRiMa project, including details concerning the project's approach to energy efficiency issues. Successively, Eugenio Perea Olabarria, from Tecnalia, followed with a more technical presentation, together with his colleague Emilio López Cano, researcher at the department of Statistics and Operative Research of Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain).

Other EU funded projects joined the discussion, sharing their best practices on energy efficiency issues: AUTONOMOUS OFFICE, WATTALYST and ENERSIP projects. Two round tables followed, giving the audience an opportunity to interact with the speakers and thus provide direct feedback on their work. The day closed with the presentation of the outcome of the round tables and with a wrap-up speech by Isaac Pola Alonso, Director of Mining and Energy at the Ministry of Economy and Employment of The Asturias Region.
The symposium was a good chance for EnRiMa to join the discussion on issues related to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, to share best practices with other EU funded projects and to enlarge its network.
Established in 2001, FAEN (the Asturian Energy Foundation) is the Regional Energy Agency of the Principado of Asturias (Spain). It works on different topics related with energy such as research, energy planning, audits, training, counselling and financial support.
